Hundreds of families expected to flock to the Herald SunFoxtel Full-On Footy Tour
HUNDREDS of families are expected to flock to the Herald Sun Foxtel Full-On Footy Tour of regional Victoria from next Monday, in what is tipped to be a boost to grassroots football.
Seven lucky regional clubs will host an afternoon “Festival of Footy” — including a kids’ footy clinic, amusements, food stalls and more — and a sports night with dinner and drinks at their local grounds from February 27 to March 14.
A panel of experts from the Herald Sun and Fox Footy will host the ticketed evening events in each town, taking audience questions and conducting an auction, all to raise much-needed cash for each club.

“This couldn’t have come at a better time for us,” Traralgon Football Netball Club president Andrew Livingstone said, estimating the club stood to make about $10,000 from the tour.
To have that sort of cash injection at the start of the season really sets us up for the year ahead.
“It really means a lot to us to have been chosen.” The 133-year-old club will sell tickets to its evening event for $50 a head for a two-course dinner, with drinks at bar prices.
